The violence that you have been reading about in the US papers is occuring mainly in border towns such as Tijuana and Cuidad Juarez - hundreds of miles away from our sleepy little oasis town. It is quite safe to fly in and out of both La Paz and Los Cabos to reach Todos Santos. In 1724,Todos Santos was founded as a mission and later became a major sugar cane producer. The town has always been considered a special place, as reflected by its live theater, art galleries, centers for workshops and seminars, and historical homes.
